Labor Day isn’t merely a holiday in Pioche. This annual tradition and street party extravaganza since 1905 swells the historic Wild West town of 1,000 residents to 4,000 revelers. Visitors come from all corners of Nevada and beyond to attend Pioche’s largest celebration of the year.

The Pioche Labor Day Celebration is a fabulous weekend of fun for locals and visitors alike. The event provides a fun and safe environment for the whole family. Festivities include lawn mower races, mountain bike races, adult and children mining contests, four-whe  eler races, “old west” shoot-out, live shows at the Thompson Opera House, live music, horseshoe and cornhole tournaments, craft show, a pet show, golf tourney, day and nighttime parades, street dance, vendors, bake sale, farmers market, carnival games, softball tourney, free swim for kids, fireworks, and so much more.
